| Uma Singh worked on a documentation programme dealing with magico-religious beliefs and mythology, centred in the Ravi river valley of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, between 1996 and 2000. She lives in Chamba town and Simla and travels frequently to the valley of the Tirthan River, a tributary of the Beas, for further research on her subject this is her first book. |
