This volume on Christian-Hindu Dialogue outlines the basic parameters of a dialogue that arise out of the study of Indian texts and the enormous possibilities of prayer and study together in order to face the challenges of diversity through pilgrimage, meditation and a common journey of non-duality. To dialogue is to become the other, and therefore to be in dialogue with Hinduism is for the author to be a Hindu and a Christian, to learn everyday from each other’s tradition and to follow the example of sadhus and monks finding meaning in each other’s journeys. Chapters studies of the Mānava-Dharmásāstra and the Yajñavalkya Dharmaśastra, non-dual consciousness, the possibilities of tri-belonging, the challenges of matter, the experience of the kālighāt, and the example of Raimon Panikkar as a Hindu and a Christian.
